Meet Dr. Smita Kargutkar, MBBS, MD, MD, FACE — founder of ACE Endocrinology Associates PC.

Dr. Smita Kargutkar founded her independent endocrinology practice in 2016, bringing together specialist medical training and an interest in a whole-person approach to health.
Her practice includes endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism, obesity medicine, hormone care, and aesthetic services, with individualized care at the center of each patient relationship.
A foundation in specialist medicine
Dr. Kargutkar completed her MBBS at Seth G.S. Medical College and K.E.M. Hospital in Mumbai. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at Monmouth Medical Center in New Jersey, followed by a fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia.
After fellowship, she returned to Monmouth County and practiced with Barnabas Health Medical Group for three years before establishing her own practice.
A broader perspective on well-being
In addition to her board certifications, Dr. Kargutkar has trained in Obesity Medicine and completed fellowships with the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine and the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine. Her interest in integrative care draws on both her medical education and India’s holistic healing traditions.
Connected to the community
Dr. Kargutkar volunteers at the Parker Clinic in Red Bank, providing care to uninsured individuals, and mentors students and physicians in training. She also maintains a medical license in Maharashtra, India, where she treats patients and teaches residents at BKL Walavalkar Rural Charitable Hospital.
